Privacy Policy

What personal information Helloo Bhaiaah collects, why, who sees it, and the choices you have.

Last updated 16 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-16

Helloo Bhaiaah (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Helloo Bhaiaah websites and apps, how we use it, and your rights under Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here. By creating an account you consent to this policy; you can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights”).

1. What we collect

Customers:

  • Account details: name, mobile number, email address.
  • Addresses you save, with the map position (latitude and longitude) of the pin you place, so a Partner can find you.
  • Your device location, only when you tap “Use my current location”, to find your address and check whether we serve your area.
  • Booking details: the service, date and time, your description of the problem, status, ratings and feedback.
  • Payment records: amount, status and the gateway's order and payment references. Your card or UPI details are entered on the payment gateway and are not stored by us.

Partners (technicians), in addition:

  • Name, mobile, email and the services you offer.
  • KYC documents: Aadhaar card, PAN card, a profile photo and a skill certificate.
  • Your live location while you are heading to a customer's job (only with your permission and only while sharing is on).
  • Job history, ratings and earnings.

Everyone:

  • Messages you send through the Contact page.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, server logs, and, in the mobile apps, a push-notification token.
  • A record of when you accepted our Terms and which version.

2. How we use it

  • To create and run your account, take and manage bookings, match and dispatch Partners, and process payments.
  • To verify Partners' identity and skills, and to keep customers and Partners safe.
  • To send booking updates (in the app or website, by push notification, and OTPs by SMS).
  • To provide support, handle complaints, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet legal, tax and accounting duties.
  • To understand how the Platform is used, in aggregated form, so we can improve it.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed:

  • With the Partner on your booking: your name, mobile number, address and problem description, so they can do the job. You see the Partner's name, rating and, when they set out, their position.
  • With service providers who help us run the Platform: our hosting and servers, an SMS provider for OTPs, a payment gateway for online payments, and a push-notification service for the apps. They may use the data only to provide their service.
  • With OpenStreetMap and its address-search services: when a map is shown, your browser or app requests map tiles directly from OpenStreetMap, which therefore sees your IP address and the area viewed. When you search for an address or place a pin, the text you type and the pin position are sent, through our server, to open address-search services to find the address.
  • With government or law-enforcement authorities when the law requires it, or to protect rights, safety or property.

4. Partner KYC documents

  • KYC documents are used only to verify identity and skills and to decide whether a Partner can take jobs.
  • They are stored with restricted access. They can be opened only by the Partner who uploaded them and by authorised Helloo Bhaiaah staff reviewing the application.
  • You may mask the first eight digits of your Aadhaar number on the image you upload. We do not need the full number.

5. Location

Customers: we read your device location once, and only when you tap “Use my current location”, to suggest your address and to check whether we serve your area. We do not track your location in the background. The pin of each address you save is stored with that address.

Partners: your location is shared only while heading to a job, so the customer can see you arrive, and only if you allow it in the browser or app.

6. Cookies and browser storage

We use only essential browser storage: a sign-in token that keeps you logged in, the place you chose so we can show the services in your area, and a note that you have seen this notice. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires.

7. How long we keep data

  • Account and profile data: while your account is active, and for a short period after you delete it.
  • Booking and payment records: for as long as tax, accounting and consumer laws require, and to resolve disputes.
  • KYC documents: while a Partner is active and as required to meet legal duties, then deleted.
  • Support tickets: for as long as needed to handle the matter and show how it was resolved.

8. Your rights and choices

  • Access: ask what personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: update your name, email and mobile number in My profile, or ask us to correct anything else.
  • Erasure: customers can delete their account from My profile. Anyone can ask us to delete their data from the Contact page (choose “Data / privacy request”).
  • Withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise your rights on your behalf.
  • Complain about how we have handled your data, using the grievance route below. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operating.

We aim to respond to data requests within 30 days. Some records must be kept by law even after deletion.

9. Security

The websites and API use HTTPS. OTPs are stored only in hashed form and expire quickly. Access to personal data and KYC documents is restricted. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affecting you occurs, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Children

The Platform is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date and version at the top (version 2026-10-16) show when it last changed. We will tell you about significant changes.

12. Contact and grievances

For any privacy question or complaint, use the Contact page (/contact) and choose “Grievance / complaint”, or choose “Data / privacy request” for data requests. You will receive a ticket number. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 15 days.
